Now that's "strange"...

Custom Honda VT500 by Strange Coast Motorcycles

This is an a-typical story of a builder who has more building skills than brains - if that can be logical even. Because how do you describe someone building a custom Honda VT500 into the Custom Bike that you see in front of you? You define it!...

The story goes something like this. Strange Coast Motorcycles got a call from one of their customers saying that he wants his little VT500 Honda to be a bit more exciting. Now they could have change the carbs, change the exhaust, re-jet the hell out of it and that would be enough. Maybe some body part and frame re-desing and finish. But no.....Strange Coast Motorcycles have more skills than brain...

They've TurboCharged the thing!!! Let us repeat...THEY TURBOCHARGED THE VT500!!! That thing by itself is a mammoth task, almost unheard of for a bike like this. The engine is in V-configuration. The exhaust to propel turbocharger is on the opposite sides of the engine. There will be too much piping they said. It'll not be fun they said.

So, let's say OK, they only turbocharged it. Most of the turbocharged fits look like a alien object attached to the bike. But, no, Strange "guys" mounted it in a factory spec fashion. If you would look at the bike, you would have hard time to tell what's happening, and that another mammoth thing that they done. And the rest was only to connect couple wires and to ride away......NOT!

Check this: they changed the carburetors for fuel injection! OMG...new wired, injectors, ECU, fuel maps, waste gate, intercooler....wait...what? Yes, a cool little intercooler and a waste gate, like they didn't put too much on their plate already. Geeeeezzzz. And like that's not impressive enough, they retained the drive shaft and mated it to a set of R6 Yamaha wheels. Modern brakes, suspension, modified tank, new ,metal fairing, custom rear frame, all new gauges, custom paint and upholstery. And what they say "lots of other little details along the way". It would be easier just to create a new bike out of scratch!!! You crazy crazy amazing people. We salute you!!!!!
